Our story
We build software. But we built fair-do because something in this industry felt broken — and we couldn't look away.
Good tuition works. The evidence is overwhelming, and most of us have felt it ourselves or watched it change someone we love. We wanted to make it a little easier to reach — and a lot fairer for the people who provide it.
Tutors train for years and put real care into the work. We think they should be paid well enough to focus on it — not lose a slice of every lesson to a platform. So we built fair-do as fair, simple software tutors can afford: a flat monthly subscription, never a cut of your teaching fee.
Tutors should earn enough to focus on teaching
Not juggle three platforms, not burn out. fair-do is one affordable tool to run the whole thing — a flat monthly plan, not a cut of your lessons.
Good tuition should reach more people
Lower fees aren't a marketing trick — they're the point. When lessons cost less, more families who need help can actually get it.
No company should get rich off the work tutors do
We take a small, transparent, fixed fee to keep the lights on — and nothing more. A tutor's hard work is not a margin to be optimised.
Every tutor on fair-do shares their teaching qualifications (such as QTS or a PGCE) and a current DBS check. We check these before a profile goes live, and keep a record of each check.
Your details, and your child's, deserve real care. Lessons run over encrypted video. We store only what's necessary, never sell it, and never use your information to sell ads. See our Privacy Policy.
